National Cycle Route 8 diary by Alan Crawshaw

September 2002 saw us tackle the alternative sections, starting at Chepstow rather than Cardiff and taking a more westerly route through mid Wales. This was a much tougher ride, very hilly with some rough off-road sections.

Day 1/2/3 - Chepstow to Hay on Wye (55 miles) then on to Aberyscir (20 miles)
Day 4 - Aberyscir to Devils Bridge (52 miles)
Day 5 - Devils Bridge to Dolgellau (55 miles)
Day 6 - Dolgellau to home (51 miles)
