Cape Wrath Odyssey

Three weeks in the Scottish Highlands, summer 2001

Our party comprised Alan Crawshaw, entering my second and possibly last half-century, my wife Christine and our teenage son Rowan. Our mission was to cycle to Cape Wrath, the most northwesterly point of the British mainland and not directly accessible by road. Not content with this, we also wanted to raise money for the National Autistic Society so thank you to everyone who sponsored us and helped to contribute a total of £324.50

During the three weeks we also climbed Britain's highest mountain, cycled over the highest road, viewed Britain's highest waterfall and traversed possibly the scariest bridge in the country.
