Extra Notes

  • Some locomotives were used for industrial purposes after withdrawal
  • 12082 had returned to the main line in 2000 which was owned by Harry Needle and was remembered 01553
  • 12071 and 12074 were preserved for some time but got scrapped!
  • Had 12071, 12074 survived, the last locomotive to be cut up would have been 12063 by NCB at Nantgarw Coking Plant, in November 1987
